🔵 Asuka returns to SmackDown and stops Sonya Deville's rant: 6min*
Sonya Deville kicks off the SmackDown season premiere ranting about her lack of opportunities throughout her time on SmackDown, she promises the WWE universe a better and more dangerous Sonya from this point onward.
The WWE universe explodes at the sound of a returning Asuka's theme song. Asuka cuts Deville's promo short making her way down to the ring, delivering a roundhouse kick, and locking Sonya Deville into the deadly Asuka lock!!
The empress of tomorrow has returned, with a more serious demeanor. What does Asuka have in store for SmackDown?

🔹 VIDEO: Legado del Fantasma to bring "La Familia" to SmackDown.
A video aired during SmackDown where Legado del Fantasma's Santos Escobar says the family business is growing into an empire, business is growing stronger and farther for mergers & acquisitions. He says their latest acquisition is the beautiful, ruthless and powerful Zelina Vega. Vega hands her jeweled video game controller to one of the other members. She says Escobar is right, she’s been successful at everything she’s ever done. She says they have no peers or competition because they are head and shoulders above everyone else. Escobar and Vega stand with Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro now. Santos goes on about how they are built on tradition, heritage and culture, and their legacy on SmackDown begins soon. They all go a toast and smile at the camera.
🔵 The Brawling Brutes vs. The Usos & Sami Zayn w/ Solo Sikoa: 13min*
The Brawling Brutes take on the Bloodline after the events of last week. The events of last week came about after the Brutes put their feud with Imperium to rest, their night wasn't over as they served as the backup for the Scottish Warrior who has a score to settle with the Bloodline's Solo Sikoa who cost him what could've possibly been the biggest win of his career. We are informed that McIntyre isn't in the arena yet, and he is on his way.
The Brutes battle The Bloodline in this stellar opening contest, The Usos try to retreat after seeing the fighting spirit of The Brutes. Their retreat is halted when the Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre arrives with the Lumberjack's, sending the Bloodline back into the ring, Sami meets the front of Sheamus's boot.

Solo Sikoa takes out Sheamus immediately after his win, leading to a big brawl between the Brutes and McIntyre against the Bloodline. There is nowhere to go for the Bloodline who are surrounded by the lumberjacks, they fall as The Brawling Brutes and Drew McIntyre stand tall ahead of the Lumberjack match at Extreme Rules.

🔹 BACKSTAGE: Alpha Academy ambush Johnny Gargano during his phone call with Tommaso Ciampa
Alpha Academy have been onto Johnny Gargano ever since his debut in WWE several weeks ago. Last week, Gargano found a tag team partner in Drew Gulak to defeat Alpha Academy in the absence of Tommaso Ciampa who suffered an injury that kept him from the match. Tonight, Gargano was on the phone with Ciampa to check on his condition when he was assaulted by Alpha Academy in a two-on-one mugging!
🔵 Shotzi & Xia Li step up to Ronda Rousey who goes extreme: 7min*
Ronda Rousey is on SmackDown! The Baddest Woman on the Planet is set for a main event clash in an Extreme Rules match against SmackDown Women's Champion Bianca Belair tomorrow night at Extreme Rules!
Ronda Rousey addresses Bianca Belair and promisses to rip her apart tomorrow. Not only did Ronda stab Bianca in her back three weeks ago but she guarantees breaking that back at Extreme Rules!
During this address, a feisty Shotzi made her way out demanding a match against the best standing inside the ring, and that's Ronda Rousey.
Xia Li, who is engulfed in a feud with her former tag partner Shotzi, wants to prove that anything Shotzi can do, she can do better, and thus, Li challenged Ronda Rousey as well.

Ronda Rousey defeats Shotzi aggressively.
Match 2: Ronda Rousey vs. Xia Li
Ronda Rousey crushes and makes Xia Li tap out.
After the match, the SmackDown Women's Champion Bianca Belair came out to stop the violent Rousey from tormenting Xia Li & Shotzi but the former UFC Champion went extreme and reminded Bianca Belair of the threat she'll face tomorrow at Extreme Rules.
Ronda Rousey stands tall but will this scene transpire again tomorrow night?
🔹 BACKSTAGE: Scarlett gets inside the head of Raquel Rodriguez.
Ahead of Karrion Kross' match, Scarlett interrupts a backstage interview with Raquel Rodriguez where she stares into the smiling Raquel and turns that smile upside down when she reminds her that she has done practically nothing on SmackDown despite being the biggest on the roster and being handed every opportunity...

Last week, Drew McIntyre told Karrion Kross to get a front-row seat to his match with Solo Sikoa at Extreme Rules. This week, Karrion Kross accepted the invitation, letting us know he'll get a closer seat as a lumberjack for the match tomorrow night.
During this address, a cryptic "white rabbit" video appeared teasing a reveal for tomorrow night at Extreme Rules.
Drew Gulak earned a rematch with Kross last week and it's time to throw down!

It's the return of Social Media Megastar Logan Paul who makes his SmackDown debut on the Season Premiere!!!
Logan Paul had his debut match at SummerSlam teaming up with Sam Rigleer where they defeated Kevin Owens & Ezekiel. He later faced and defeated Sam Rigleer at the spectacular Clash at the Castle event this past month.
Tonight, Logan Paul feels on top of the world calling out the best of the best in WWE including names like John Cena, Roman Reigns, and The Beast Brock Lesnar.
Unfortunately for Paul, The Beast Incarnate was in the arena and answered the call to F-5 Logan Paul in a sneak attack that left Logan Paul screaming in agony! The Beast is back and it spells bad news for the megastar Logan Paul!
🔹 BACKSTAGE: Max Dupri feels "LA Knight" before clash with Maximum Male Models.
ma.cé waits in the ring as Max Dupri makes his way from the backstage area, telling the production crew to scrap the name Max Dupri, because it's as horrible as the outfits Mace & Mansoor wear, he says he feels "LA Knight" and he's clearing the ring of trash next! Yeah!

La Knight split from Maximum Male Models after feeling their game wasn't in the right place.
LA Knight defeated ma.cé as Hit Row join the commentary desk.
After the match, the renamed LA Knight took out mån.sôör as well, letting everybody know it's LA Knight's game now. Hit Row laughed at Maximum Male Models who are making their way to the back.
🔵 MAIN EVENT: Gunther (c) vs. Rey Mysterio -- United States Title Match: 18min*
During the ring announcements, Adam Pearce sends Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci to the back to ensure that this contest will not be interrupted.
Rey Mysterio earned an opportunity a while back but eventually forfeited it due to the events that took place with his son Dominik.
Tonight, his opportunity is still intact and he looks to claim the United States Championship. In an explosive back-and-forth main event, the Ring General retains his United States Championship in a match-of-the-year contender with the Lucha legend Rey Mysterio.
In the closing moments of the match, The Judgment Day made a shocking appearance on SmackDown alongside their newest addition, Dominik Mysterio. The son of Rey Mysterio.
Devastated at the man Dominik Mysterio has become, Rey Mysterio lost any focus he had in the clash with Gunther, giving him an even bigger advantage.
Gunther defeats Rey Mysterio to retain the United States Championship.
