WWE SmackDown kicks off with Vince McMahon walking down to the ring with the fans singing his entrance music. He says it’s a privilege as always to stand in front of the WWE Universe. Especially in this ring in Minnesota. Vince says he is here to remind everyone of the four words in the WWE signature. Then, now, forever and the most important word, together. He welcomes everyone to SmackDown as he throws the microphone and leaves the ring.

The former multitime FBW Tag Team Champions and the longest-reigning Tag Team Champions of all-time The New Day interrupted Alpha Academy's second SmackDown Tag Title Quest as they call out The Usos.
The New Day are here to call out Chad Gable and Otis for what they did to Big E prior to WrestleMania. It was Otis' sudden alliance with Gable and the attack by the pair on Big E that took him out of action with a serious injury to his neck. The New Day are out for retaliation!
A brawl broke out and referees came to keep the two teams apart.

Two weeks ago on SmackDown, Randy Orton faced Edge, his former tag team partner of Rated-RKO, where he was defeated due to distraction from Damian Priest, who suddenly appeared in Edge's corner.
Then, Damian Priest came out with Edge to a new 'dark' entrance where he described his decision as enlightening and life changing. Priest added that he'll put his life in the hands of Edge moving forward.
Tonight, after Edge silenced the voices inside Orton's head, he claims to be on a mountain of omnipotence, and adds that his handing out an invitation to anyone looking for change to join him to change their career, but for now he and Damian will Judge the WWE locker room. What is Edge's goal?
🔹 BACKSTAGE: Butch assaults a cameraman during a split-screen interview between Sheamus & McIntyre.
This Sunday, Sheamus will challenge Drew McIntyre for his US Title. But, tonight they both partake in a spilt-screen interview where they trade words over their clash at WrestleMania Backlash. Notable, an overly excited Butch launched a vicious attack on a cameraman!
🔵 Rhea Ripley vs. Asuka: 8min*
Last week, there was a huge Beat the Clock Challenge to determine who faces Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania Backlash between Ripley and Rousey.
Asuka was the one who faced Ripley and the latter was meant to beat her in less than 9 minutes. However, the match ended up going for longer than 9 minutes and thus, ended inconclusively.
Rhea Ripley defeated Asuka.
🔹 BACKSTAGE: The Street Profits at a loss but they want the smoke still.
The Street Profits have fallen in defeat to the power of Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser. However, they hope tonight is the difference maker.
🔵 Sonya Deville speaks in-detail during In-Zayn with Sami Zayn: 5min*
The returning Sami Zayn gives a platform to his former ally Sonya Deville where she can give inside details on her fall from being a WWE Official.
Sonya Deville exposes the alleged corruption of WWE Official Adam Pearce, who is allegedly taking bribes from multiple WWE Superstars, his unfair agendas against some certain WWE Superstars, and other details "too dark for TV".
How will Sonya Deville prove these claims?
🔹 BACKSTAGE: Shotzi is sickened by Raquel Rodriguez.
Shotzi claims that Raquel Rodriguez shouldn't be on SmackDown and Zelina backs her up on that, but Raquel has back up of her own in the form of fan-favorite Liv Morgan, who believes otherwise. Shotzi & Vega ended up exciting the interview area after a stare down with Morgan
🔵 Gunther & Ludwig Kaiser vs. The Street Profits: 4min*
Gunther & Ludwig Kaiser reign another win on SmackDown unfortunately to the expense of the fallen Street Profits.
🔵 MAIN EVENT: Rey Mysterio vs. Roman Reigns (c) - WWE Universal Championship Match: 16min*
Will Rey Mysterio achieve the impossible and win the WWE Universal championship or will Roman Reigns continue his dominant reign as The Head of the Table. Big time main event on SmackDown!
Rey hits roman reigns with a drop kick and hit 619 and went for the frog splash but Roman Reigns countered into mid air super man punch talking trash load for another Superman punch, roared, and goes for a spear but Rey hits Roman Reigns with a forearm on a face and Rey takes Roman Reigns body and suplex Roman Reigns on a mat. Roman Reigns hit a superman punch and dragged Rey in the middle of the ring and tried to lock in the guillotine but Rey refuses to give in.
The legendary luchador hit Roman in the mid section and went on the ropes running fast to try to hit a dropkick but Roman hit a massive spear for the win. The Tribal Chief celebrates his first title defense since WrestleMania as the WWE Universe acknowledges his greatness!
